A: All the remote control electric doors we sell are fully compliant with all the latest regulations and are CE marked. Many roller garage doors are sold on the internet which are not compliant with regulations and cannot meet the machinery directive or CE standard as they only use an infra red beam for safety and not a leading edge safety detection sensor. A: Generally with most electric garage doors once the leading edge hits and obstruction the door immediately stops and reverses and indeed this should be the absolute minimum requirement for any remote contrl door or shutter. Additional safety devices can be added including an infra red beam where the door may be near a public footpath or highway but the infra red beam is not suitable or compliant if used on its own.
