A harmonious overall appearance
The overall appearance of a Hormann sectional door is the result of many small details. For example, this includes Hormann's side fixing frames with a white woodgrain finish to match the sectional doors as standard. Coloured doors or doors with Silkgrain or Decograin surface finishes come with frame coverings (as an optional extra) that match the surface and colour of the door leaf exactly. Hormann fascia panels also always match the door. This ensures that everything fits together and the perfect appearance is achieved.
Long-term protection against weathering
A resilient 40mm plastic frame shoe situated on the very bottom of the fixing frame leg offers substantial long-term protection against corrosion (even with waterlogging) that is unmatched by competitor solutions. The frame shoe completely secures the frame in the area susceptible to rust. - only this offers authentic long-term protection.
Along with the door's bottom seal, the frame shoe forms establishes an attractive finish.
Wicket door with trip-free threshold
Wicket doors are extremely practical in a busy household. The wicket (or pedestrian door) allows the garage door to remain closed during entry/exit, however everything is still able to be put in the garage such as bicycles, gardening equipment, wheelibins etc. Hormann offer an optional wicket door with a trip-free threshold so heavy items do not need to be lifted over the threshold. It also reduces the risk of tripping and causing injury.
