A traditional type of garage door operation where 2 panels are hinged from either side of a steel or timber sub frame and open by swinging out. The 2 door leaves will join in the middle and usually overlap each other to hold secure and provide the best weatherseal. One leaf will always be the main operating leaf and the other will be the slave or 'static' leaf more often than not left closed. Various types of furniture are supplied by different manufacturers and various sub frame sizes are required depending on the hinge types used.
Most of the side hinged garage doors GarageDoors Online supply will have a factory fitted fixing sub frame included and all the hinges, furniture and locking also prefitted from the factory for the vest easiest on site installation.
The only exception to this are the timber side hinged doors from Cedar which are a traditinal joinery made door with all assembly required on site.
Automation
