Steel-Line roller garage doors were a steel garage door manufactured in the UK to high standards. The curtain profile was roll formed in the factory on a purpose designed and built machine. The profile was designed to always keep its shape regardless of the number of operations. The strength this profile gave to the roller door curtain was unique from all other similar roller garage doors.

Plastisol and weathergrain laminate exterior finishes were standard on all Steel-line doors and were covered with extensive guarantees. Plastisol specifically was used extensively as an exterior weather resistant material on far larger steel surface areas than those we build Steel-line doors to. A choice of 10 standard plastisol coated fully finished colours were available to choose from as standard and 2 further weathergrain options in Golden Oak and Rosewood were available for a small surcharge.
The inside of the door was powdercoat painted to a light grey colour.
To provide smooth running and protect the galvanised steel curtain and guides a tough material was fixed to the edges of the curtain giving quiet and grease free operation, this material was produced by a manufacturer of bridals to the equestrian markets. The longevity of this material was vital to the longevity and smooth running of the door.
Any roll up garage door is very reliant on the spring tension applied and set during installation. The springs used in manufacturing Steel-line doors had been tried and tested for over 18 years. We selected the correct springs to suit each and every size of roller door manufactured thus making a Steel-line door the easiest door of its type to operate up and down.
Locking a Steel-line roller door could not be easier. From the front of the door there is a stylish designed strong handle with a key and barrel in the centre. On turning the key inside the barrel you actuate two steel locking bars that travel from the rear of the handle through both of the guides mounted to either side of the door. This two point locking system has another benefit in that the points at where the locking bars lock into the guides are completely hidden from view externally reducing chances of forced entry.

Rollguard was a unique option for your Steel-line door, it provides the roller door with a second channel outside of the standard channel guide for the curtain to run within and nylon blocks are fixed to each side of the curtain to run in their own separate part of the guide effectively locking the curtain into the guides. The result is a very secure roller door curtain that cannot easily be forced out of the guides externally

Simple, clean lines and an excellent colour choice were just part of the appeal of a Steel-line door. The doors were designed for manual or automatic operation - Easyglide spring assisted operation ensured large and small doors were light and easy to operate by hand and the sophisticated Autorolla ATA remote control opener could be purchased with your door or fitted at a later date. Similar motors are still for sale for retrofitting to an existing Steel Line
The door was simple to install and effortless to use. All the doors were made to order to suit your brickwork openings perfectly and maximise your drive through width and height where possible.
