All of the Hormann garage doors ordered arrive to you completely factory preassembled and ready to install. The only part to actually fit to the garage door is the handle which is supplied seperately. Steel brackets are supplied for the installation of the steel sub frame to the garage structural opening.

Below is a view of a Retractable Steel Framed Hormann up and over door with remote control electric operator viewed from inside the garage. You can see the steel sub frame fixing brackets fitted ready to install this door behind a structural opening. When fitting inbetween the brackets are fitted at a 90 degree angle to the steel frame. The door comes with a pack of these fixing brackets and fixings to install to the frame. If you are installing to an exisiting or new timber sub frame the brackets are not required or supplied. All the retractable mechanism is pre-installed at the factory, the only loose parts are fixing brackets and the handle set. When the door is installed behind the structural opening for sizing references you have to simply require a structural opening inbetween the ordering size of the door and the overall frame width of the door with the frame. i.e. a structural opening of 7'2" (2185mm) x 6'8" (2031mm) will take a 7'0" x 6'6" (2134 x 1981) RF door on the inside face and show 25mm of the steel frame from the outside of the garage when installed. This assumes of course that you have a pier each side with a return face inside to install to. If you have a flat wall one, or both sides this equation will of course not work.
