If you are intending to purchase and install the Seceuroglide insulated roller door then you need to start by making sure you order and specify the right size garage door. The roller door can be installed to the inside face of your opening, inbetween your structural opening or even outside if you have little or no internal headroom.
As all the doors are made to order then it is essential you understand the difference in the sizes depending where you intend to install it. The diagram below shows the critical dimensions and terminology to be aware of with either the standard Seceuroglide or the Seceuroglide Compact door.
(please note the diagram shows the roller door with the optional full hood)
Width Dimensions Explained
Maximum overall width for Seceuroglide = 5400mm
Minimum overall width for Seceuroglide = 1500mm.
The Overall Width is also the reference for the Ordering Width when purchasing a Seceuroglide roller door and is the Drive Through Width plus the aluminium guides on each side which are 75mm each on a door up to 5200mm total width or 90mm each on a door over 5200mm.
i.e. a 2500mm wide Drive Through Width means adding a further 150mm for the 2 no. 75mm guides giving an Ordering Width size of 2650mm.
Standard 75mm guide for the Seceuroglide door up to 5200mm total width.
Larger 90mm guide for doors 5200mm or wider or optional extra for increased stability.
Height Dimensions Explained
Maximum guide height for Seceuroglide standard 3500mm
The Guide Height is also the reference for the Ordering size for a Seceuroglide roller door.
It is the height of the side guide that the roller curtain slides in.
The Total Height is the Guide Height plus the Endplate which is 300mm
for a guide height up to 2500mm and 350mm for guide height over 2500mm -
with a maximum guide height of 3500mm (i.e. Total height 3850mm).
i.e. a guide height of 2100mm will have a total height of 2400mm by adding the 300mm endplate size, alternatively a guide height of 3150mm will have a total height of 3500mm by adding 350mm endplate size. (Click here for table).

3 different endplate sizes
including the Compact.
See details on Compact
for restrictions on use.
The Bottom Slat Hangdown is the proportion of the bottom slat that hangs down in the opening when fully open and is quite normal on any roller shutter door. On the Seceuroglide range this is always 55mm, therefore your Drivethrough Height is the Guide Height less 55mm. If you have a particularly high vehicle then be sure to check dimensions carefully or Email us for confirmation of sizes.
Face Fitting Internally (Recommended) Face Fitting Externally ** Installation options

Face fix installation inside the garage is the usual and most useful way of maximising your height and width for drivethrough purposes. The guide rails and end plates fit directly to the brickwork face internally. If you only have a face to fit to one side and a flat wall the other then this also is not a problem as the endplates are completely flush with the guide rails and the roll of the door curtain all contained within.
Inbetween Fitting
Installing the Seceuroglide inbetween requires much more accurate measuring or you will either have to cut brickwork or pack out guides and endplates if you do not get the measurements correct. Remember to either use the narrowest dimension or be prepared to cut brickwork.
Quite often it is also possible to install inbetween the brickwork but behind the lintel if your lintel is not flush with the back of the piers.
The guides will be seen from outside when installing inbetween so be aware of the colour finish if choosing the woodgrain curtain option.

Installing the Seceuroglide outside on the face of your structural opening is unusual but useful for:
a/ Maximising width and height if you have restricted headroom or internal sideroom.
b/ Maximising length if you have limited internal length in your garage for your vehicle.
If you do install the roller door externally it is essential to include the full hood option for protecting the curtain roll and the powdercoated guides and endplates to compliment or match the chosen curtain colour. The control box receiver is not waterproof and would still need installing internally.
The manual override facility will have as standard a lockable steel plate fitted to the hood externally or you can order an optional internal low level override which is drilled through the brickwork to be operated from inside (only if you have seperate access to the garage).
**Please note that when installed externally you are viewing the internal side of the curtain roll. The woodgrain laminate options are not recommended in this case as the slats are only laminate woodgrain on othe external side, the other side is brown powdercoat.![]()
