Garage Door Delivery Information
Most of the doors we sell are made to order, so they are not usually taken off the shelf. Garage doors are large, heavy items and many arrive fully assembled from the factory. That means our carriers use specialist handling and transport, especially for larger double doors.
We will give you an expected delivery date as early as possible and keep you updated as your order progresses. We will never make promises we cannot keep.
Looking for current lead times? See our latest delivery update below, or choose your door type for more detail.

Latest Delivery Update
Last updated: October 2026
Some ranges in our online shop are now available on faster delivery. If you cannot see the door you need, please ask us. We also hold some stock up and over and sectional doors, and our clearance section is worth checking for bargains.
Most of our doors are made to measure as standard at no extra cost, so your garage or pedestrian door fits your opening perfectly. Our range of stock doors is limited but growing all the time.
The lead times below are best estimates from the manufacturers and can change daily. For full details, choose your door type above. If your delivery is urgent, please speak to us before ordering, as we can often arrange or speed up delivery to suit you.
Carteck
Some side hinged products currently have extended lead times. Please contact us to confirm Fast Delivery before ordering. See the colour chart below to check your colour group.
Cedar Doors
Garador
GDO
The manufacturer is moving premises, so some lead times are longer than usual and previously quoted dates may change. Delivery of 20mm and 51mm side hinged doors and up and over doors to Welsh postcodes may also take longer. We apologise for any inconvenience.
Gliderol
Hörmann
Please contact us to check which up and over sizes are in stock. Non stock sectional doors are currently delayed, so please ask us for exact delivery dates.
Please note: Hörmann cannot currently deliver to DG postcodes.
Ryterna
SWS Seceuroglide
Bespoke doors go through more production stages, so delays can sometimes happen. We will confirm a delivery date as soon as the manufacturer gives us one. Manufacturing delays are outside our control, and we cannot accept claims for them.
Carteck Colour Groups
Use this chart to see which colour group your chosen Carteck sectional or side hinged colour belongs to, as this affects the lead time above.

Delivery Charges
Delivery is free of charge on the majority of garage doors, however some have been set to price on application due to the location/ nature of product etc. The charge usually depends on your county, not on the door type or size.
- We deliver to the whole of the UK mainland. Some products to the Highlands are priced on application.
- You can collect from our depot instead, and we will remove the delivery charge.
- We can arrange delivery anywhere in the world on application, with extra packaging available to help protect your door in transit.
Delivery Requirements
We will make every reasonable effort to deliver to your chosen site, provided that:
- You give us the full address, postcode, a contact name and a mobile or landline number.
- Someone is on site to help the driver unload and to sign, print and date the proof of delivery. Our deliveries are made by a single driver.
- For most deliveries, a large lorry can reach the address. This is up to 18m long, 4m high and 2.5m wide, similar in size to a double decker bus.

Some roads are not suitable for large vehicles. Access includes local approach roads, low bridges, width and weight restrictions and overhanging trees. It is the customer's responsibility to make sure the vehicle can reach the address and has room to park and unload. Please tell us about any delivery restrictions before you place your order.
Carteck deliveries use a vehicle 11.94m long, 2.55m wide and 4.2m high. Please contact us if you have any questions about access.
The delivery will be aborted if the driver meets any of these hazards, or if they consider the access unsuitable or there is a risk of damage to the vehicle.
If we check your postcode before delivery and it is not suitable for the lorry, we will contact you to arrange delivery to a more suitable address. In some cases, a third party carrier can deliver in a smaller vehicle for an extra charge, which we will confirm with you first.
On the Day of Delivery

- Deliveries are made on weekdays up until 6pm. We and our carriers give as much notice as possible, but we cannot guarantee a specific day or time.
- We will use the contact numbers on your order to update you about delivery. Please make sure you can be reached on them so your delivery is not aborted.
- The person accepting delivery must be over 18 and able to help the driver offload.
- All doors are delivered to the kerbside only. The driver can help with the initial offload but will not move your door to another location.
- A signature is always required. We cannot ask for items to be left in a safe place, unless they fit through your letterbox.
- If no one is on site on the confirmed day, a failed delivery charge will be applicable based on the manufacturers current rates.
Pre Framed Doors: Weight and Handling
Pre framed doors are heavy, typically weighing 60 to 110kg depending on size and specification. It is the customer's responsibility to have enough people on site to unload and move the door safely.
We strongly recommend at least two to three people are available to help. Trying to lift or move the door alone may cause injury or damage the door.
Damage or Shortages
Please report any damage or shortages to us in writing within 3 days of receiving your delivery.
