The CarTeck Switch is specifically engineered to be a direct replacement for the two most common UK brickwork opening widths (replacing standard 7'0" and 7'6" wide doors). Delivered as a complete, fully assembled system, the insulated door leaves arrive pre hung in a heavy duty factory fitted aluminium box section frame. Thanks to the built in wind out lugs, on site installation is incredibly fast and completely eliminates the need for timber packers.

The insulated steel door leaves arrive already pre hung perfectly within a heavy duty, factory finished aluminium frame. All the complex components, including the premium hinges, the advanced multipoint locking system, and the flush bolts, are fully factory fitted and rigorously tested before delivery.

Because the aluminium frame is equipped with built in wind out installation lugs, there is absolutely no need for fiddly timber packers. You simply offer the complete doorset into your cleared brickwork opening, use the lugs to achieve a perfectly level and plumb fit, and fix it securely into place. It really is that straightforward.

Important Warranty Conditions

To ensure your warranty remains valid, it is essential that the door is washed regularly with warm soapy water to remove dust, dirt, and atmospheric pollutants. The warranty does not cover mechanical damage caused by improper transport, installation, or operation. Furthermore, standard warranties do not apply to doors subjected to extreme environmental conditions, such as corrosive atmospheres found in coastal climates with high salt content, unless a specific coastal paint upgrade was applied at the point of order.

Measuring Guide & Standard Sizes

The CarTeck Switch range is ingeniously designed for a straight swap with many existing standard UK garage doors. Because this doorset comes complete with its own factory fitted hollow section aluminium sub frame, measuring is incredibly straightforward. Simply measure the clear brickwork opening left after completely removing your old door and existing timber frame.

To ensure a perfect fit, the overall over frame sizes of the CarTeck Switch doors are manufactured slightly smaller than the actual brickwork opening. This clever design automatically allows for a 20mm fitting tolerance on the total width and a 10mm fitting tolerance on the height. Furthermore, installation is made even easier as the doors feature built in wind out lugs, meaning no packers are required!
