GDO ROLL77 Electric Push Button Insulated Roller Garage Door (5 Signature Colours)

Simple, Hard-Wired Electric Operation

This GDO ROLL77 model is all about straightforward, reliable everyday use. It uses a simple internal wall-mounted rocker switch with “hold to run” operation, so you just press and hold one button to open and another to close. There are no remote controls to lose, no batteries to replace and no complex electronics to set up, making it ideal if you only open the garage occasionally or always enter on foot rather than driving in.

Perfect for Garages Accessed on Foot

If your garage is integral to your home or mainly used as a store, workshop, gym or utility space, this door makes practical sense. You get the convenience of powered opening and closing without paying for remote control features you don't need. As long as you have a clear line of sight to the door while operating the switch, the hold to run control keeps the door fully compliant with UK safety regulations, without requiring optical beams or bottom edge safety edge sensors.

Made to Measure as Standard

Every GDO ROLL77 electric push button door is made to measure at no extra cost for a neat, accurate fit. Simply choose the nearest “up to” ordering size from the drop-down menu to select your price band, then enter your exact required width and height in the ordering boxes. The door is manufactured to the millimetre, helping to maximise weather sealing, improve security and give a clean, flush finish inside and out.

Strong, Insulated 77mm Double-Skinned Slats

The door curtain is constructed from 77mm deep, double-skinned aluminium slats with a dense CFC-free foam core. This insulated construction delivers smooth, quiet operation while significantly reducing draughts and heat loss. It keeps the space warmer and more usable, helping to protect stored items from damp, condensation and extreme cold.

Internal Manual Override Included

In the event of a power cut, the GDO ROLL77 includes an internal manual override system as standard. A supplied winding handle hooks directly onto the eye of the motor drive so you can easily wind the door open or closed by hand from inside. You can specify whether this manual override is positioned on the left or right-hand side (viewed from inside) to best suit your garage layout.

* Please note: For garages without a separate pedestrian side door, an external manual release lock will be required to operate the override from the outside during a power failure.

5 Signature Colour Choices with Matching Guides & Hoods

The GDO ROLL77 is available in five popular finished colours to complement traditional and modern homes alike at no extra cost:

• White (RAL 9016)

• Anthracite Grey (RAL 7016)

• Black (RAL 9005)

• Chartwell Green

• Agate Grey (RAL 7038)

The side guides and optional half or full hood covers are supplied finished in the matching colour as standard for a clean, coordinated look around the entire opening. If you prefer contrasting colours for your guides or hood (such as white guides with an Anthracite curtain), please contact our team when placing your order.

Flexible Fitting Options

The GDO ROLL77 can be installed either behind (face fix) or in-between (reveal fix) the structural brickwork opening:

Behind the opening: Maximises drive-through width and height, ideal for vehicle access or tall vehicles.

In-between the opening: Fits directly inside the brickwork reveal when headroom or side room inside the garage is limited.

For doors fitted externally, between the reveal, or in exposed locations, adding an optional half or full hood cover encloses and protects the roll and drive mechanism from dirt and weather.

How to Order Your Made to Measure Door

Ordering your GDO ROLL77 is straightforward. Measure your garage opening and select the nearest next size up as an “up to” size from the drop-down menu to set your price band. Next, enter your exact required Over Guide Width (OGW) and Guide Height (GH) in millimetres in the ordering boxes so your door is manufactured for a precise fit.

Choose Your Signature Colour

The GDO ROLL77 is available in five popular finished colours at no extra cost to complement both traditional and modern homes:

  • • White (RAL 9016)
  • • Anthracite Grey (RAL 7016)
  • • Black (RAL 9005)
  • • Chartwell Green
  • • Agate Grey (RAL 7038)

The side guides and optional hood covers are supplied in the matching finished colour as standard for a clean, coordinated look around the entire opening. If you prefer contrasting colours (such as white guides with an Anthracite curtain), please contact our team when placing your order.

Configure Your Door Options

After selecting your ordering size band and curtain colour, choose the remaining specification details to suit your garage layout:

  • Half or Full Hood Enclosure: Select a half hood to neatly cover the top and front of the roll internally, or a full 90° box enclosure to fully protect the barrel and curtain mechanism from dust and weather—essential for external or reveal-fitted installations.
  • Fitting Position: Choose Behind the Opening (Face Fix) to maximise drive-through width and headroom, or Inbetween the Opening (Reveal Fix) if internal headroom or sideroom is restricted.
  • Motor & Override Handing: Choose whether you want the electric motor drive, manual override eye, and power cable located on the left-hand or right-hand side (as viewed from inside the garage) to suit your socket position and access.
  • External Emergency Release (Recommended for single-entry garages): If the garage has no other pedestrian entrance or side door, select an external manual override release lock to ensure you can still operate the door manually from outside during a power cut.

Construction and Insulation

Roll77 slat profile

The GDO ROLL77 is constructed from high quality 77mm deep, double-skinned aluminium slats with a dense insulating foam-filled core. Every door is made to measure as standard, manufactured to your exact millimetre measurements in both width and height for a precise fit.

Electric Operation and Manual Override

Hold to run rocker switch

The door is electrically operated using a hard-wired internal wall-mounted rocker switch with hold-to-run control. An internal emergency manual release is built in as standard in case of power failure. This is operated using the supplied winding handle, which hooks into the motor eye to wind the door open or closed by hand. The motor and manual override can be specified on either the left or right-hand side as viewed from inside the garage.

* Note: If the garage has no separate pedestrian access door, an optional external manual release lock must be fitted to allow emergency operation from the outside.

Barrel, Endplates and Headroom

The aluminium curtain rolls neatly around a steel barrel supported at both ends by 300mm x 300mm steel endplates. This 300mm measurement is the headroom required if you want to conceal the roll behind or within the lintel. Always allow for approximately 110mm of curtain hang-down when the door is fully raised if drive-through headroom is critical.

Guides, Sizes and Clear Openings

Side guide channels are 34mm deep and supplied in either 75mm or 90mm widths depending on the overall door size. The door is ordered using the Over Guide Width (OGW) and Guide Height (GH).

The door can be fitted behind (face fix) or in-between (reveal fix) the structural opening. Always ensure you have allowed enough space for the side guides, 300mm endplates, and any optional hood cover (the hood shares the overall width of the endplates and guides).

Doors up to 3000mm wide (supplied with 75mm wide guides):
• Clear opening width = Ordering width (OGW) less 150mm (75mm each side)
• Clear opening height = Guide height (GH) less approx. 110mm (bottom slat hang-down)

Doors over 3000mm wide (supplied with 90mm wide guides):
• Clear opening width = Ordering width (OGW) less 180mm (90mm each side)
• Clear opening height = Guide height (GH) less approx. 110mm (bottom slat hang-down)

Maximum Dimensions:
• Maximum ordering width (OGW): 5200mm
• Maximum guide height: 2900mm (approx. 3200mm overall height including 300mm endplates/hood; maximum width at this height is 4600mm)

5 Signature Finished Colours

The GDO ROLL77 curtain is available in 5 durable finished colours at no extra charge:

  • White (RAL 9016)
  • Anthracite Grey (RAL 7016)
  • Black (RAL 9005)
  • Chartwell Green
  • Agate Grey (RAL 7038)

Guides & Hoods: Side guides and optional half or full hood covers are supplied in the matching finished colour as standard. If you require contrasting colours (for example, white guides with an Anthracite curtain), please contact our team when ordering.

Fitting Positions

  • Behind the opening (Face Fix): Maximises clear drive-through width and height, ideal for 4x4s, larger vehicles, or non-square openings.
  • Inbetween the opening (Reveal Fix): Fits neatly within the brickwork reveal when internal headroom or side room is limited.

* External installation is also possible using a full hood cover, which will reverse the motor handing and curtain orientation.

Optional Hood Enclosures

Add an optional half or full hood cover to neatly enclose the roll and protect the mechanism from dirt, leaves, and weather exposure.
