Woodrite Doors Ltd have ceased trading as of January 2022

Woodrite are no longer in business, but we can offer most of their previous door designs in an extended range of timber species with prices on application. The doors will be manufactured by a leading door and gate joinery specialist in the UK and offer the same gear lifting options as before, but also an extended side hinged door range.

European Oak, Idigbo, Iroko, Cedar, Accoya, Sapele are just some of the timber species we can offer in bespoke totally made to measure doors.

Timber Wood Door Range

For over 30 years Woodrite crafted and manufactureed timber garage doors as part of their 'Coach House' range, with your requirements and specifications as their priority. Their range consisted of bespoke timber garage doors that could be manfactured as either Up & Over or Side-Hinged doors.

The sheer size of the range of timber door designs that can be produced is incredibly vast, with many standard and bespoke designs and sizes available, choosing a timber door can ensure your garage door will be tailored to the specifics of your taste. We recognise the remarkably versatile qualities of timber, and the necessary care that is required to manufacture their garage doors with it. 

Timber doors can be constructed of any of the four species below:

• Cedar - Being light in weight, Cedar doors make for easy operation, yet protect themselves against the ever-changing British weather. Warm in colour, cedar doors possess a homely aesthetic.

• Oak – With not only a traditional aesthetic, oak is also of such a weight that only traditional designs are available, ultimately creating a classic garage door.

• Idigbo – An ideal choice if you require a door of stability for boarded, and raised and fielded designs, which also is exceptionally similar in appearance to oak.

• Accoya – A timber that boasts exceptional qualities of strength as a result of its “super-technology”; Woodrite garage doors that are made of Accoya possess a 10 year finish warranty.

Wood is an incredibly versatile material and, with the correct approach, is unequalled; Woodrite's treatment and service during the manufacturing of their doors significantly contributes to their excellence. Additionally, 90% of Woodrite's doors are fully factory finished, proving that such an option is a highly desirable addition.

Somerset

The Somerset range is part of the Coach House collection of wooden garage doors and represents the finest of its kind, hand-built in cedar and finished to exacting standards. This Up & Over garage doors are of panel-construction suitable for use with Masta-Gear and Super-Chassis and available in standard and made to measure sizes. Buckingham & Balmoral

Buckingham and Balmoral Up & Over garage doors are of solid-construction suitable for use with Masta-Gear and available in standard and made to measure sizes. Solid construction employs wider, deeper wooden rails that eliminate the need for a steel chassis or subframe Very large doors may have some bracings to reduce “door sag” when in the open position. Gear fixes directly to the door panel for a very neat appearance to the inside of the door.

Warwick

Warwick up & over garage doors are of panel-construction suitable for use with Masta-Gear and Super-Chassis or solid-construction suitable for use with Masta-Gear and available in standard and made to measure sizes. Monmouth

The Monmouth Oak Garage Door Range is part of the Coach House collection of wooden garage doors and is just a taster of the range of oak styles in development. These first few oak garage doors will soon be joined by a more extensive collection of oak designs to further increase the choice available. Oak is just on of those materials - beautiful coloration, grain and a very hard hardwood! Monmouth Oak up & over garage doors are of panel-construction suitable for use with Masta-Gear and Super-Chassis and available in standard and made to measure sizes.

Thetford

The Thetford range of Accoya garage doors, named after the UK’s largest pine forest, uses Accoya®. What is Accoya®? Accoya® wood is the result of decades of research and development that has brought together a long-established, extensively proven wood modification technique and leading-edge patented technology – acetylation to create a high performance wood, ideal for outdoor use and challenging applications. Accoya® wood has been modified right through to the core and the acetylation process does not weaken the original wood – in fact, its hardness is improved – nor does it compromise its bending strength.

York

The York range is part of the Coach House collection of wooden garage doors and represents the finest of its kind, hand-built in cedar and finished to exacting standards. All york doors are of solid construction using mortice and tenon joints and have no steel chassis or sub-frame, just glorious wood!
