Seceuroglide Georgian Design Embossed Woodgrain Sectional Garage Door
The Seceuroglide Georgian Design Sectional Garage Door remains a top choice in the UK market, offering a perfect blend of enduring style and modern engineering. With its classic square panel arrangement and beautifully proportioned detailing, it is an ideal match for period properties, Victorian terraces, or any home looking to boost its kerb appeal. Manufactured right here in the UK by SWS UK, this door balances authentic aesthetics with serious performance credentials.
Authentic Woodgrain Finish Without the Upkeep
The embossed woodgrain texture applied across the double-skinned steel panels convincingly mimics the charm of a painted timber door. This gives you the warmth and traditional character of wood without the worry of warping, rotting, or repainting. White woodgrain is the timeless standard finish, but you can also choose from up to 32 stunning colours. Popular Heritage shades like Chartwell Green, Rosewood, and Golden Oak are available for a truly distinctive look.
Superior Insulation and Weather Protection
Built with 40mm thick double-skinned steel panels and filled with injected polyurethane (PU) foam, this door is incredibly strong and dimensionally stable. High-grade rubber weather seals are fitted to all four sides, creating a near-airtight barrier against cold draughts, wind-driven rain, and unwanted noise. This results in a measurably warmer and drier space throughout the year. It is an excellent choice if your garage connects directly to your home or doubles as a workshop, gym, or utility room.
Secure and Space-Saving Operation
Because it operates on a vertical-rise track system, the door sections slide straight up and stack neatly beneath the ceiling. This intelligent design provides several practical advantages for your driveway and garage:
- You can park right up to the door without obstructing its movement.
- The full structural opening width and height remain available for drive-through clearance.
- You retain maximum internal garage depth since the panels stack neatly out of the way.
- The panels interlock securely along their horizontal joints to offer excellent resistance against forced entry.
For ultimate convenience, pairing the door with an optional Somfy electric operator ensures automatic locking every time it closes. This makes the Georgian Design just as suitable for everyday use as it is for security-conscious homeowners.
Made to Measure as Standard
There are no surcharges for custom sizing with Seceuroglide sectional doors. Every single order is manufactured specifically to your exact width and height dimensions at no additional cost. Whether you have a standard opening or an awkward, non-standard space up to 5 metres wide, you are guaranteed a precise and seamless fit.
Handles
This door is not designed for manual operation and does not come with a handle, regardless of if a motor is selected or not.

The inbetween installation kit uses the Executive framing kit as standard, this is a 100mm wide aluminium box section frame on 2 sides and reduces the structural opening width by at least 200mm on the width as well as either 100 or 130mm on the height - this gives the ordering dimensions. A tolerance should always be allowed for in these calculations and we recommend between 5-10 mm all round.
Width measurements should be taken in 3 places as a minimum and take the smallest measurement as it is inbetween. Take off 10-20mm on the width and then 5-10mm for the height from floor to lintel, again measured in 3 places to work out your ordering sizes.

What Is Included
Every Seceuroglide Georgian Design sectional door is supplied as a complete kit, including:
- Pre-assembled insulated steel panels with woodgrain embossed finish
- Elite side-mounted spring assembly (fully pre-tensioned)
- Track sections (vertical and horizontal/radius sections)
- All fixings, brackets, and hardware required for installation
- Weather seals (top, bottom, and side jambs)
- Integral locking mechanism
- Full printed installation instructions
If an optional Somfy electric operator is ordered, this is supplied separately with its own installation guide and two remote transmitters.
Installation Overview
The Seceuroglide Elite sectional door uses a side-mounted spring system, which differs from the overhead torsion spring arrangement seen on some other sectional doors. Key installation points include:
- The vertical track sections are fixed to the side jambs of the structural opening.
- Horizontal track sections extend back into the garage ceiling space, connected via radius bend sections.
- The spring assembly is mounted to the side walls, keeping the mechanism compact and the headroom requirement low (100mm for manual, 130mm for electric).
- A minimum of 85mm of side room is required on each side for track clearance.
- The door rises vertically on the track, eliminating the need for any clearance in front of the garage.
Structural Opening Requirements
Before ordering, confirm the following from your structural opening (measured at the brickwork/masonry opening, not a fitted frame):
- Width: Measure in at least three horizontal positions and use the smallest measurement.
- Height: Measure from the floor to the underside of the lintel in at least three positions and use the smallest measurement.
- Side room: A minimum of 85mm each side must be clear for track fixing.
- Headroom: A minimum of 100mm (manual) or 130mm (electric) above the opening height.
Important: An Executive framing kit (100mm wide aluminium box section) is used with the between-brick installation method. This framing reduces the structural opening by a minimum of 200mm on the width and either 100mm or 130mm on the height. Always allow a 5–10mm tolerance on all measurements when calculating ordering dimensions.
DIY Installation
This door is designed to be DIY-installed by a competent adult with basic carpentry and DIY skills. The side-spring assembly simplifies the process considerably compared to overhead torsion spring systems. Two people are recommended for the installation, particularly when lifting and positioning the door panels and track sections.
If you prefer a professional installation, our team can advise on accredited fitters in your area.

Accurate measurement is critical to ensuring your Seceuroglide Georgian Design Sectional Door fits perfectly and operates correctly. Sectional doors are manufactured to your exact specified dimensions — a door ordered to the wrong size cannot simply be adjusted on site. Please follow these instructions carefully before placing your order.
What You Are Measuring
You need the structural opening — the masonry or brickwork opening — not the dimensions of any existing door or frame currently in place. If an old door or frame is present, remove or look past it to measure the actual opening in the brickwork.
Tools Required
- Steel tape measure (not a fabric tape)
- Spirit level (to check whether the opening is square and the floor is level)
- Notepad to record all measurements
Step 1 — Measure the Width
Measure the width of the opening horizontally at three positions:
- Near the top of the opening (just below the lintel)
- At the mid-point
- Near the floor
Always use the smallest of these three measurements as your ordering width. This accounts for any variation in the brickwork or slight narrowing of the opening. Then subtract 10–20mm from this smallest measurement. This gives the ordering width.
Step 2 — Measure the Height
Measure the height of the opening vertically from the finished floor level to the underside of the lintel, at three positions:
- Left side of the opening
- Centre of the opening
- Right side of the opening
Always use the smallest of these three measurements as your ordering height. Then subtract 5–10mm from this smallest measurement. This gives the ordering height.
Step 3 — Check Side Room and Headroom
Before ordering, confirm your clearances:
| Clearance Required | Minimum |
|---|---|
| Side room (each side) | 85mm |
| Headroom — manual operation | 100mm |
| Headroom — electric operation | 130mm |
Side room is measured from the edge of the structural opening to the nearest fixed obstruction (wall, pipe, corner). Headroom is measured from the top of the structural opening to the ceiling or nearest overhead obstruction.
If your side room or headroom is less than these minimums, please contact our team before ordering, as alternative configurations may be possible.
Between Brick Installation (Executive Sub Frame included)
The standard between aperture installation method for Seceuroglide sectional doors uses the Executive framing kit — a 100mm wide aluminium box section frame fitted to two sides of the opening. This frame sits within the structural opening and reduces the usable opening as follows:
- Width reduced by a minimum of 200mm (100mm frame on each side)
- Height reduced by either 100mm or 130mm depending on the frame option
Your ordering dimensions (as calculated above) should account for these reductions. The frame dimensions become your ordering size guide — always include a 5–10mm tolerance on all sides.
Ordering Summary
| Measurement | Action |
|---|---|
| Width (smallest of 3) | Subtract 10–20mm = ordering width |
| Height (smallest of 3) | Subtract 5–10mm = ordering height |
| Side room | Confirm minimum 85mm each side |
| Headroom | Confirm minimum 100mm (manual) / 130mm (electric) |
If you have any doubt about your measurements or the suitability of your opening, our technical team is available to assist prior to ordering. Getting the measurements right the first time avoids delays and ensures a perfect installation.
