The answer to your selected question is shown below.

A:

The easiest one piece up and over garage door for installation is undoubtedly the Hormann or Garador Canopy Framed door.
Either garage door is pre-assembled with all the high quality operating mechanism in the factory and when you order the optional steel box section fixing sub frame this is also prefitted to the door panel and gear ready for offering into the structural opening and simple securing by several steel brackets, also supplied. The canopy door gear requires no setting up you simply release the door panel and spring tension system once installed by removing a transit screw and off you go!
The external handle is the only component not pre-fitted but this only requires one bolt and maybe a little tweaking and adjusting on the locking rods and you are finished.
As canopy gear does not have horizontal tracks into the garage there is nothing to do but secure the frame to your garage opening.
The steel sub frame is in place of a traditional timber sub frame but is cheaper, paint finished and gives much better security and weather sealing as the factory tolerances for the gaps around the door are much tighter.
