Generally yes they do, but it depends on the door type and the colour you choose. A coloured garage door where you have to pay extra for the different finish normally means it will add a week or two to the delivery time.
This is the general rule of thumb for the door types on our site:
Up and Over Garage Door - Standard finish is white from the factory and you have a choice of a few standard RAL colours in a powdercoat finish which will add a week or two to delivery.
The laminate woodgrain finishes available on the Hormann and Garador ranges are ex stock as they are manufactured with this finish already on the panel.
For any of the timber garage doors the factory finishing options available will generally not delay the delivery if it is a Woodrite or Cedar door. For the Hormann or Garador it may add a week or 2.
GRP garage doors are not affected by any choices made as they all go through the same finishing process.
Sectional Garage Doors - Again, white is the standard factory finish and the Decograin or Woodgrain finishes offered by Hormann, Carteck and Garador are ex stock, so not affected. If you require one of the standard RAL colours offered in a limited range by these manufacturers it will add 2 weeks generally and if you require a special RAL colour the delivery time can be up to 6 weeks in total.
Insulated Roller Doors - All the colours offered for double skinned aluminium roller doors are stock colours so there are no delivery implications. The only delays that occur are when you may choose a slightly obscure laminate finish and it is not in stock due to being a non popular finish and this can make delivery up to 6 weeks rather than the normal 2-3 weeks.
Single Skin Steel Roller Doors - No difference on delivery for any of the colours offered. They are all stock finishes including the laminate woodgrain finishes.
Side Hinged Doors - The same as up and over in most respects for delivery times. White is standard in steel with colours adding 2 weeks. For timber door the fully finishing does not make any difference and for GRP doors the colours are all done in the same way so it makes no difference what colour you choose. Some manufacturers may offer special colours if required and this will take extra time, possibly up to 3 weeks extra.

Our managing director has been selling garage doors for over 30 years to the trade, retail, housebuilders and many other garage door companies and it is simple - If we are selling you a garage door supply only we do not want any problems with the door so we recommend the garage doors that have the best record for the least problems. Yes, you may pay a bit more for some of them but you will save a lot of money in the medium to long term.
Many companies sell garage doors that make then the most profit and this is quite often a false economy as the cheap doors have the worst warranty issues costing a lot more in the long run for all concerned. We like the 'fit and forget' principle so we have the least warranty issues and dissatisfied customers.
The roller garage doors we sell are all manufactured and certified by companies who have made these doors for years and are not just making a roller door for a quick sale and profit only to disappear a few months or years later washing their hands of any warranty issues.
The sectional garage doors are the best you can buy with the Garador, Hormann and Carteck doors having panels all predrilled for example making installation and mistakes almost impossible on site where as if you have to drill the brackets into the panels there is a lot of room for error when installing.
The up and over doors we sell are all factory preassembled so on site installation is simple once you get everything square and all the up and over doors we sell for Hormann, Garador and Woodrite have galvanised and zinc plates components ensuring the very best in longevity once installed in a normal garage environment.
All the timber garage doors are only manufactured from the highest quality timber sourced from sustainable supplies.
Quality is everything when it comes to timber products.
We only recommend what we would be happy putting on our own homes!!
All sectional garage doors are ordered by the internal frame dimensions and all the doors have a steel fixing frame surrounding the door panels to fix the gear and tracking to the garage opening.
For example a sectional garage door 7'6" x 7' (2286 x 2125) refers to a door which ideally if it were to be fitted BEHIND or INSIDE the garage opening would mean ideally your opening size was exactly the same dimensions 7'6" x 7' (2286 x 2125).
As a sectional garage door does not go through the opening at any time during operation you can install a sectional door behind an opening that is smaller than the ordering sizes as long as there is sufficient room inside to take the frame sections. The headroom required inside is the one big variable with sectional doors as different manufacturers use different spring lifting systems and these will vary between single width and double width door sizes.
The sectional doors can be installed INBETWEEN the structural opening and then you have to be sure of the OVERALL dimensions of the door with the frame legs and frame head included and leave some tolerance for installing too.
Generally most of the sectional door require about 100 -125mm of headroom for single width doors (up to 10' wide) and 210 - 240mm for double width doors. If there is insufficient headroom then low headroom options are available to help install the door and maintain a sensible height.
On widths most sectional doors have steel frame legs that are around 90mm wide with a bit of tolerance and we suggest you allow 100mm either side to be sure unless the opening is absolutely square. So overall size required for installation with some tolerance is the ordering size width plus the 100mm x 2 = 200mm or as little as 180mm if you feel the opening is 100%.
It can be quite complicated so again we encourage you to email or call us directly for help on deciding the best gear and deciding on the measurements if required.

For Carteck sectional doors we also have a DIY help page - DIY installation help >
Look no further than the fantastic Woodrite collection of doors for the very best in timber quality and workmanship.
The attention to detail is second to none and the choice of sizes, styles and finishes is also superb.
The Woodrite range is a range of the highest quality Cedarwood, Idigbo, Oak and Accoya timber garage doors manufactured by a company who really understand garage doors and do not make them as a side line to other timber products. The operating gear, the type and thickness of timber used, the range of size and the operating gear method is all perfect to give you a timber garage door that will truly last.
Side Hinged garage doors are also manufactured and supplied with all necessary furniture and other items for the perfect fit.
Every section of timber is treated before assembly for the very best in weather protection and a wide range of fully finished wood stain finishes are available from the factory to save the need for on site decoration.
The timber sections are only ever selected from the highest grade of timber supplies and all preparation is carried out on state of the art machinery for the best results in cutting and finishing.
A timber door is a natural product and there needs to be an understanding of how to select, handle and treat timber when constructing door panels of considerable size. If not done correctly from the outset you will only ever get problems down the road.
Finer details such as having the option of a timber sub fixing frame clad in the same timber as the door makes all the difference, especially when you are staining the main door in a light colour - an exact match is critical and simply using an off the shelf hardwood or softwood frame will guarantee you will not be able to match the cedar or idigbo garage door panel.
