GDO ROLL 95 Heavy Duty Electric Roller Garage Door
The GDO ROLL 95 is a heavy duty insulated electric roller garage door designed primarily for larger domestic garages, outbuildings and workshops where a standard 77mm domestic roller door cannot deliver the required strength, width span or wind resistance.
It is ideal for double and triple width garages over 5 metres wide, high openings, buildings housing larger vehicles and commercial vans, or exposed locations where a more robust door system is essential. The curtain uses substantial 95mm deep x 27mm thick double skin galvanised steel slats, filled with high density insulating foam to create an exceptionally rigid, secure curtain.
Derived from the proven SeceuroDoor 95 industrial platform, the GDO ROLL 95 combines commercial strength components with the smooth appearance and remote control convenience of a domestic garage door. The heavy duty barrel, steel endplates and rigid side guides are engineered specifically to carry the extra weight across wide spans without sagging or deflecting in high winds.
For garages where ceiling space is at a premium, the GDO ROLL 95 provides a clean alternative to a sectional door. The curtain coils neatly into the headroom space directly above the opening, eliminating the need for horizontal tracking running back into the room. That leaves ceiling areas completely free for overhead lighting, mezzanine storage, car lifts or high sided vehicles.
Supplied with a powerful 240V tubular motor, a Somfy Rollixo wireless control panel and safety edge system as standard, the GDO ROLL 95 offers effortless, fully compliant electric operation. Available in bespoke sizes up to 7000mm wide and 3500mm high.
Price on application: Every GDO ROLL 95 is made to measure and individually assessed. Detailed technical drawings are provided with each quotation to confirm your exact opening dimensions, internal face fit clearances, required headroom and structural fixing points before ordering.
GDO ROLL 95 Options
Somfy Remote Control and Safety Systems
Every door includes the Somfy Rollixo control unit and two remote transmitters as standard, paired with a bottom slat optical safety edge. If the door meets an obstruction while closing, it stops and reverses automatically to prevent damage or injury.
Extra transmitters, wireless wall switches, external key switches and smart home app controllers can be added to suit your access needs.
Manual Override Options
An internal manual winding handle is supplied as standard, enabling you to open or close the door by hand from inside during a power cut.
* If your garage has no separate pedestrian side door or rear entrance, an external low level manual release is required to ensure you never get locked out during a mains power failure.
Full Hood Enclosure and Fascia Options
A full hood cover is available to enclose the curtain coil, motor barrel and endplates when the door is open. This protects the mechanics from dust and debris while giving the inside of the garage a tidy, finished look.
A full hood is strongly recommended for doors under 2300mm high, where the bottom of the coil sits closer to head height. The hood encloses moving parts to ensure full safety compliance and avoid accidental contact.
Hood enclosures can be colour matched or powder coated in a complementary shade to suit your curtain colour choice.

Site Survey and Structural Fixing Requirements
Because the GDO ROLL 95 uses heavy double skin steel slats and commercial grade endplates, solid structural fixing points are essential. The door must fix directly into solid brickwork, blockwork, structural steelwork or substantial timber goalposts capable of bearing the door weight.
Your technical approval drawing will highlight exact fixing centres, side room requirements and lintel load points before manufacture begins.

Important: Due to the heavy 95mm steel slat profile and barrel assembly, the GDO ROLL 95 requires more headroom and side room than standard domestic roller doors. Always verify your lintel clearance, side wall returns and structural fixings against the supplied technical drawing prior to signing off the order.
Ordering Size is the Over Guide Width (OGW) x Guide Height (GH).
Doors have 88mm wide guides
Ordering width = Opening size + 88mm at guide area and for the to section allow 152mm*
* These measurements are correct for behind fit installations, please contact us for guidance for more complex inbetween fit installations.
Clear opening height = guide height - 110mm (to allow for the bottom slat hand-down into the guide).
Overall Height is the guide height plus the endplate and hood cover size of 350mm and larger sizes for higher doors. Please check with a drawing issued from GDO for exact details.
