Although Super Size sectional garage doors are exclusively fitted behind the garage opening so you don’t see the main sub frame, you will still see the inner edge of the frame legs. This commercial grade unit requires a dedicated 16-amp supply direct to your consumer unit. Its intelligent control ensures consistent, safe operation across massive spans.

* Please Note: A second form of access into the garage (like a side door) is strictly required if you select this motor, as external manual release systems are not available with the Direct Drive unit.

Wireless 2 Function Wall Switch:
This is a handy remote control device in the form of a wall mounted two button switch. It allows you to control one or two garage doors from inside your garage or home. Important Installation Guidance

Installing a Carteck Super Size sectional door is a significant project that differs from fitting a standard domestic garage door. Because of the commercial grade engineering and the massive scale of the components, specific installation rules must be followed.

• Behind the Opening Only: Unlike standard sectional doors which can sometimes be fitted between the brickwork, all Super Size doors must be installed as a face fit directly behind the structural opening reveal. This ensures the heavy duty frame is fully supported by the internal face of the brickwork or steelwork.
• Substantial Weights: The 40mm insulated panels are incredibly heavy at widths up to 8000mm. You will absolutely require extra manpower or mechanical lifting aids to safely move the panels into the garage and lift them into the tracks. Do not attempt to install a door of this scale alone.
• No Supplied Header: The Super Size frame legs are supplied in a galvanised finish and the door is provided without a top header fascia section. When fitted correctly behind the reveal, the side seals enclose the edge of the frame legs so they are not visible from the outside of the garage.
• Power Requirements: You must ensure you have the correct power supply available in the garage before installation begins. For the commercial Teckentrup Direct Drive motors, a dedicated 13-amp or 16-amp supply direct to the consumer unit is typically required.

• Panel Delamination: A 10 year guarantee against the steel skin splitting or delaminating away from the internal foam core.
• Frame Components: A 10 year guarantee on material and manufacturing faults for all immoveable frame parts, provided it can be proved that they are inoperative or their everyday use is impaired.

If you live near the sea, the standard manufacturer's guarantee does not cover doors subjected to extreme environmental conditions, such as the highly corrosive influences resulting from a coastal climate with a high salt content in the air.

Important Note on Dark Colours

When choosing your door finish, please be aware that where doors are exposed to direct sunlight for long periods, dark colours should generally be avoided. Dark coloured doors will naturally undergo more thermal expansion due to heat absorption, and this expansion can temporarily affect the door's performance while the steel is hot.

Such instances are not covered by the manufacturer's guarantee because it is a natural characteristic of the metal. However, normal performance will always return once the door panels have cooled down.

Specification

DOOR: Sectional door double skinned PUR foam core, 40mm thick CarTeck panels. Outer surface finished in choice of 4 standard designs and all standard listed CarTeck colours. Inner surface stucco design, colour similar to RAL 9002. Sections have a centre seal, EPDM, header, and floor seals. Different order heights are made up from mixing panel sizes, 2 different bottom profile sizes and reduced top panel heights. Doors have reinforcing steel profiles on the rear of the panels.

FRAME: Door frame is made from hot dipped galvanised steel sections. Protective strips with EPDM sealing lips on both sides of the vertical tracks.

HARDWARE: Doors have galvanised frame legs and are supplied without a header strip. Hardware has galvanised finish, screwed hinged to all sections, adjustable rollers with ball bearings. Front or optional rear mounted torsion spring with load-bearing steel cables.

AUTOMATION: Electric 230V drive as standard, either direct or rail drive. Optical safety edge, hard wired to control system and photocells. Direct drive motor must have 13 amp supply direct to consumer unit. External release is not possible with direct drive motor, additional access must be available into garage.
