What Makes a CarTeck Sectional Door Different?
One of the standout features of a CarTeck sectional garage door is its unique, highly engineered spring system. CarTeck uses the safest and simplest spring balancing mechanism available, which is kept completely out of the way at high levels on either side of the door, neatly housed above the horizontal running tracks.
This unique tension spring arrangement is incredibly safe and is widely considered the simplest spring system to install. Crucially, unlike many other sectional door brands that rely on complex, heavy torsion springs, the CarTeck system requires absolutely no manual tensioning during installation, making the fitting process faster and far less complicated.

20 Factory Colour Options
PLEASE NOTE: Carteck offer over 50 standard colours as well as 'ANY RAL Colour' option and for their wider insulated sectional door range colours you simply have to look to the normal ranges offered within our online shop, with greater size ranges and surface finishes as well as the larger colour pallette to choose from. Optional windows and other design elements are also availabe within the wider range as well as door sizes up to 8m wide.
Electric Sectional Door Motors & Safety 
The AutoTrend electric motor is automatically specified depending on the door size you choose, ensuring reliable, long-term performance.
Doors up to 4877mm wide are supplied with the highly efficient MOTOR LM60. Doors over 4877mm wide are upgraded to the more powerful MOTOR LM75 as standard. If preferred, you can upgrade to the LM75 motor for smaller doors; this grants you a faster opening speed (200mm/sec compared to 160mm/sec) and includes a wireless wall-mounted switch.
Both motor options include 2x 4-channel handheld remote transmitters. They also feature bright LED lighting neatly integrated into the motor head unit, providing powerful courtesy lighting that automatically switches off after you park.
Safety is paramount. The motor control units monitor force levels multiple times every second. If the door encounters a person, vehicle, or object, the obstruction is instantly sensed, and the motor immediately stops and reverses. All CarTeck doors and openers are independently tested, certified to all current safety legislation, and carry the CE/UKCA mark.
Additional Control Accessories
While the package comes complete and ready to use, you can choose to add these extra control options to tailor the system to your lifestyle:
- Wireless Keypad: For internal or external use. Set up a 4-digit PIN to effortlessly access your garage without carrying a key or handset. Ideal for families, you can also set up temporary access codes for visitors or tradespeople.
- Wireless 2-Channel Wall Control: A highly convenient battery-powered wall switch for internal use. It allows you to operate up to 2 doors simply by pushing a button, with no messy wiring required.
- Emergency External Release: Vital for garages with no other entrance. If your garage door is the only way in, we strongly advise adding an external release mechanism. Operated via a secure key cylinder on the outside of the door, it manually disengages the electric motor, allowing you to lift the door by hand in the event of a power failure.
- Handle Note: Because this is a secure, electrically operated door package, no external handle is fitted as standard.
